Korigad Trek – New Year Bonanza..!!!
Korigad Fort is one of the simplest trekking destinations located in and around Pune. It is a perfect start up point for newbies who have not had a trekking experience before. Just a few steps climb takes you to the very top of the fort.
We are going to visit this best historical destination.But this is not only the enjoyment trek.

Trek: Forts Salher, Salota, Mulher, Mora … on 25,26 Dec 2010.
(‘Salher’ is the highest fort in Maharashtra)
Trek Details:
24 Dec, Friday Dep. from Giridarshan’s office (Shaniwar Peth) on 24 Dec at 10.30 night by private bus.
We will meet on 24 Dec, Friday at 10.30 pm at Giridarshan’s office.
Will go to ‘Mulher’ Village by bus.
25 Dec, Saturday
Reach Mulher Village by 5.30 am. Rest for while.
Get fresh … Tea & Breakfast….
Go to Salher village.
Climb the ‘Salher’ fort ( will take 2.5 hours approx ).
Visit the fort…. Lunch.
Get down till the pass between ‘Salher’ & ‘Salota’.
Climb the ‘Salota’ fort.
Visit the fort …
Get down before evening… Tea.
Dinner & Stay at ‘Mulher’ village.
26 Dec, Sunday
Get up early in the morning … Tea & Breakfast….
Climb the fort ‘Mulher’ ( will take 2.0 hour approx. ).
Visit the fort …
Go to ‘Mora’, the smallest fort of the trek.
Get down…. Lunch.
Back to pune by 10.00 pm
(Please note that all the timings mentioned above are based on the
previous experience from the treks. The timings may differ.
Giridarshan will not be responsible, if the timings differ from the
schedule given above)
Difficult Level : Easy.
Every body should carry : Lunch for Saturday (25 Dec), Water bottle, Torch, Bedding, Spare dress, Worm cloths, Dish , Wati / Katori & glass.

Four sessions will be held over these two days.
Dignitaries such as ROMULUS WHITEKAR, NEELIMKUMAR KHAIRE and ASHOK CAPTAIN will contribute to the discussions anchored by Dr.ANIRUDDHA BELSARE.
Short films made for National Geographic Society by ROMULUS WHITEKAR will be screened during the sessions. The workshop is discussion oriented and live snakes are not involved. This is a great opportunity for the wild life enthusiasts.
