We, at Green Carpet have organized many thrilling events in the course of the past year. These events involved a variety of adventure activities like Trekking, Rock climbing, Rappelling and Valley-crossing with some leisured ones like Tour de Konkan and crocodile trail. 


Now we are planning to take you the the leisure tour of place known as Little Tibet i.e. Tour de Leh-Ladakh. A place that no need any introduction. A reflection of heaven and nirvana. Discover the beauty of this heaven with Green Carpet

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 : Assemble(From Mumbai or respective location) at Srinagar (By Air)
            Srinagar – Kargil (By road)
               
After reaching Srinagar. We ll move towards Leh. Reach Sonmarg check post which opens for a duration of 5 hours in the morning. Enjoy the picturesque view of snow capped mountains with our army jawans standing tall against all. Reach Kargil.
Evening will be free for leisure activities around. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 : Kargil – Lamayuru – Alchi – Magnetic Hill – Leh
Early morning after breakfast, we leave for Leh.  Enroute visit Lamayuru, where we tour the Lamayuru monastery. Also called the Yung-drung (Swastika) monastery, Lamayuru is one of the oldest monasteries in Central Ladakh. Further drive to Alchi, located 70 kms west of Leh and Megnatic hill, Hall of fame, Sangam of Indus and Zanskar rivers, Basgo fort. 
Alchi monastery and the nearby village considered one of the most well preserved Buddhist centers of Ladakh, the Alchi monastery has beautiful paintings on its walls, which are examples of early Buddhist art. In Alchi village you can see the rural lifestyle of the villagers including activities such as grinding wheat etc. Drive to Leh with overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Indus Valley Monastery Sight seeing
After breakfast we leave for a tour of the Hemis Gompa. This monastery is the best known in Ladakh. Around the monastery you will see Chortens or Buddhist reliquaries and ornate walls. On the way back to Leh we will visit Thiksey Monastery. This is situated on a mountain from where you can see panoramic views of the Indus Valley. 
Within the monastery you can see many beautiful Buddhist artifacts. We then leave for the Shey Palace, which was the summer palace of the royal family of Ladakh. Return to your hotel to stay overnight.
Day 4 : Drive Leh to Nubra Valley , Khardung La Pass
After breakfast depart for Nubra valley that goes through the highest motorable pass in the world at Khardung-la ( 5602 Mts.). enroute visit Diskit Gompa and late in the evening enjoy the camel riding at Hunder by Bacterian Camels across the sand dunes. Visit village Hunder and Gompa among lots of trees and mingling streams. Overnight stay in Camps or Guest House
Day 5 : Drive back from Nubra Valley to Leh via Penamik

After early breakfast drive back to Leh via Penamik and Samstangling Monastery.  In penamik you can vitness the hot spring. This medicinal hot water is very good for joint pains and skin dessies. On the way also vist Samtangling gompa. It is branch of the Rizong gomp and newly built and on of the beautiful monastry around Leh. Meals and overnight stay in Guest House at Leh.

 

Day 6 : Pangong Lake trip
 
After an early breakfast we drive for around 4 hrs to Pangong Lake. Located at an altitude of 14,000 ft, Pangong Lake is approached by a road that crosses the Chang La Pass (18,000 ft.) and scenic villages. Explore the 250km long lake, which is divided by the Indo-Chinese border. 1/3 of the lake is in India and rest comes under the Chinese territory. 
We also see the settlements of the Chang Pa tribe, who are nomadic herdsmen who migrate from Ladakh to Tibet and back, as the seasons change through the year. Drive back to Leh (4hrs). Meal and overnight stay in Guest House at Leh.






Day 7 : Fly to Mumbai or Respective locations
We will be transferred in time to the airport to catch the flight to respective location.

9th July: Start from Mumbai by Train till Ambala by around 11.30 pm.
10th July: Train Journey
11th July: Reach Ambala by 9.30 am
Collect bikes from the Railways.
Ambala to Bilaspur – 180 km Ride
12th July: Bilaspur to Manali – 180 Kms
13th July: Stay in Manali
14th July: Manali- Rohtang Pass- Koksar- Tandi- Keylong – 120 km Ride
15th July: Keylong- Darcha- Sarchu- 136 km Ride
16th July: Sarchu to Pang- 83 Ride
17th July: Pang Taglangla- Rumtse- Upashi- Leh- 195 kms Ride
18th July: Leh to Khardung La and back- 80 Kms Ride
19th July: Leh to Pangong Lake 170 Kms by 4 wheeler via ChangLa.
20th July: Leh to Mulbek 329 Kms Ride
21st July: Mulbek – Kargil – Drass – Jojila end – Sonmerg – Gagangir – 150 kms Ride
22nd July: Gagangir to Srinagar – 92 kms Ride

The Cost-

The whole tour is on TTMM basis. Trek Mates India will be charging Rs.1500 per head as expertise charges.
The approximate expense for the event will be Rs 20000/- for a single person per bike, or 17500/- in case of two people per bike which includes:
> Train Tickets
> Bike Transport to and fro.
> Food and accommodations from Mumbai till Mumbai.
> Banners for the event
> Permissions where ever necessary.
> Charges for Pangong Lake visit.
